in our community!
Mission Statement: Power Packs partners with our community, local churches, the Fabius Pompey Outreach, and individuals to provide food on the weekends and Summer for children in the Fabius Pompey School District who might otherwise go hungry.
Vision Statement: That every school-aged child in the Fabius Pompey school district has the nourishment needed to learn and grow. Power Packs strives to ensure children don’t go without food on the weekends and Summer by empowering our community, local churches, and individuals to take action.
What goes in a Power Pack? Each pack contains the following food items:
- Two breakfast items; protein bars, instant oatmeal, fruit and grain bars, individual cereal in bowls or boxes.
- Two entree items: soups, canned meats, ravioli type products, tuna & crackers, peanut butter, jelly, mac & cheese cup.
- Two fruit items: Canned fruit or fruit cups, applesauce, dried fruit, juice box or pouch.
- Healthy snacks: Animal crackers, cheese and crackers, pudding.
- During the long school breaks, a larger bag is sent home to help add extra nutrition for more days at home.
Student confidentiality is important: Working with the local school is very important. Volunteers working in the program never learn the names of students getting Power Packs. Any family can sign up for this program.
Summer Power Packs: Are available each summer for those who would like them. Summer Power Packs consist of a grocery bag filled with food for breakfast, lunch, fruit and snack items. The program is free.

Financial Partnership: The goal of Power Packs is to partner with the community, local churches and individuals. Donations to the program are made to Pompey Community Church, which manages this program as part of their budget. Donor reports and financial statements are available to the public upon request. Power Packs is a free program for children and their families.
