Dear PCC Family,
Message From Pastor John Andrew
Greetings PCC,
First, I want to thank everyone who was able to attend the Ministry and Finance meeting this past Sunday! We had a great meeting and had the opportunity to share some of the things the Lord has placed on our hearts for this upcoming year, and to explore opportunities the Lord has given us to further support ministry in our church, community, and world.
If you were unable to attend, we want to provide you with our budget details and rationale for 2025. One of the key features of the budget for 2025 is the adjustment of the part time worship and youth leader position to a full-time pastoral position. The aim of this position is to help us on three fronts: 1. Worship, 2. Discipleship, and 3. Youth Ministry. We are excited to pursue help in these three areas and can’t wait to see who the Lord provides! If you have questions about the budget, over the next two weeks you can reach out to the church office, and I would be happy to meet with you to answer any questions that you may have. (You can pick up a copy of the operating budget, the capital budget, and the meeting ballot at the welcome center. If you want a copy of any of these please contact the church office and we will send them right out to you.)
On Sunday, January 26, at the annual meeting, we will vote on the budget, the OC and elder nominations, and then celebrate the Lord’s faithfulness over the course of this past year. We will not provide a time in the annual meeting for questions. That was provided during the Ministry and Finance meeting and will be provided in the two weeks between the meetings. The annual meeting will be wholly devoted to celebrating the ministry of this past year!
We hope you will join us at the annual meeting, and we look forward to celebrating with you!
Blessings, Pastor JA
Communications About Closings
If we need to cancel a PCC activity or event due to the weather, we will put it on WSYR: CNY closings and delays, send out a church-wide email, and post it on Facebook.
This Sunday Morning
Here’s what’s happening this Sunday, January 19:
- The adult Growth Group will continue with the new series: How To Share The Gospel
- Then at 10:30 am is our worship service featuring the following:

- Nursery for 0-3 year-olds will be available for the entire service.
- After the service will be an interest meeting for anyone who wants to know more about the mission trip to Guatemala in July. The meeting and trip will be led by Pastor John Andrew. It will start at 12:00 in the teen room.
Sunday School Teachers Still Needed
PCC wants to celebrate that our children’s ministry is growing! If you’ve been here on a Sunday morning, I’m sure you’ve noticed all our young friends. With this in mind, we’d like to form a new Sunday School class, splitting our current elementary class into two separate groups: PreK – 1st grade and 2nd – 4th grade. Is God putting on your heart to minister to either of these age groups? Please speak to Renie Pittman, Todd.renie@gmail.com, or Christy Siau, kidmin@pompeychurch.org ASAP. We’d love to form our new class in the beginning of 2025.
