Easter Egg Hunt Pompey Community Church and Country Critters are hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for our families and the community. It will take place this Saturday, April 12 at 10:00 am. After the hunt, we will be hosting a brunch for all in the gym for a time of fellowship and getting to know the families. We hope you plan to join us, and invite some of your friends! This Sunday Morning Here’s what’s happening this Sunday, April 13:
Community Meal This free meal will be on Monday, April 14, 5:00-6:30 pm. Make sure you plan to attend and bring a friend with you! Red Cross Blood Drive This will take place at PCC on Tuesday, April 15, 2:00 -6:00 pm. Donors are really needed if you can help out. You can sign up online or just stop in. Good Friday Prayer Stations & Service There will be prayer stations set up in the gym on Friday, April 18. These will be contemplative and be open from 4:30-5:30 pm so stop at any time during that hour. We recommend taking 15-20 minutes to go through them. The Good Friday service will start at 6:00 pm and there will be nursery available for 0-4 year olds. Easter Sunday Service This will be a joyful, glorious celebration of our Risen Savior and Lord on Sunday, April 20! It will start at 10:30 am and is a wonderful service to invite a friend or family member to. There will be nursery and children’s church available. Please note that there will NOT be Sunday school on Easter Sunday, but there WILL be the Good Friday prayer stations available from 9:30 am until the Easter service starts at 10:30 am. Upcoming Projects We will be renovating the Love and Hope rooms in the West Wing starting on Monday, April 21. The dividing wall will be removed, the carpet will be replaced with vinyl flooring, and the walls will be repainted. This will provide us with another large classroom that will be ideal for VBS, youth events, and large meetings. Also, we will repaint that hallway and those walls too. The other project is the paving of the parking lot. This is scheduled to start on Monday, May 12, and to be done by Sunday, May 18. The contractor has assured us that we will be able to get into the building while the paving is being done, even if we have to park on the lawn. We’ll give out more details as we get closer to the 12th. Need For Men’s Clothing We have been asked by one of our neighbors who works in the Crouse Hospital addiction recovery program to collect clothing for the men that are there. They need casual clothing like jeans, sweat pants, shorts, jogging pants, tee shirts, sweatshirts and business casual items. Please put them in the black bin next to the welcome center on Sunday. Thank you! Fabius Pompey Outreach The Outreach is looking for a treasurer for their organization. Spring is here! The Fabius-Pompey Outreach geranium sale is under way. Order forms can be found by calling Laura Windhausen at 683-5240. You can also order online at www.fpoutreach.org – click on the “Geranium Sale” link. All proceeds help support the Outreach. Pick-up is Saturday, May 17 from 9-11am at the Immaculate Conception Church basement in Pompey. Geraniums are $3.50 each and are available in many colors. The last day to order is Thursday, May 8.
