Missions

Pompey Community Church, with the guidance of scripture and the Holy Spirit, will endeavor to use the contributions of the faithful to: further the spread of the Gospel, help the poor, and support those who would do the work of God.

At PCC opportunities abound to serve God and His people locally, across the U.S., and around the world.
The church currently supports the following organizations and individuals that minister to God’s people:

1. Fabius-Pompey Outreach, Pompey, N.Y.–a local food pantry. – fpoutreach.org
2. In My Father’s Kitchen, Syracuse, N.Y.– helping the homeless throughout Syracuse. – inmyfatherskitchen.org
3. Mars Hill Network, Syracuse, N.Y.– a Christian radio station.  marshillnetwork.org
4. David’s Refuge, Manlius, N.Y.– “caring for the caregiver”.  davidsrefuge.org
5. Young Life, Bucks County, P.A.– Bekah Siau  bucksco.younglife.org
6. Young Lives, Syracuse, N.Y.–Danielle Johnston- “reaching teen moms with the love of Christ” younglivessyracuse.younglife.org
7. Christian Appalachian Project, Paintsville, KY– A Christian organization committed to serving people in need in Appalacia through a wide variety of programs and services.  PCC both supports CAP financially and on a yearly basis sends teams to Kentucky for week-long projects where volunteers serve in painting, construction, and renovation work. christianapp.org
8. Total Home/ Total Health, Honduras and El Salvador– A Christian organization providing spiritual,medical, dental, and housing help to people in Latin America.  In addition to financial support, PCC sends teams of volunteers to Honduras and El Salvador to work in medical clinics or in home construction. totalhealth.org
9. Samaritan’s Purse–An evangelical organization that provides spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the globe.  Since 1970, Samaritan’s Purse has helped meet needs of people who are victims of war, poverty, natural disaster, disease, and famine with the purpose of sharing God’s love through His son, Jesus Christ.  PCC also annually supports Operation Christmas Child. samaritanspurse.org
10. Compassion International– PCC sponsors a young man in the Dominican Republic named Jose Angel Garcia Matos.  compassion.com
11. Remnant Westside Church — PCC supports a young man from central NY working as a missionary in China.
12. Life Church, East Syracuse, N.Y.–PCC supports a woman from central NY, who with her Indian husband are working as missionaries in India
13. Project Hope for the Children, Inc.–PCC supports a Christian ministry to orphans in Romania and Puerto Rico.
14. Transworld Radio — Mike Ball — A multi-national evangelical media distributor sharing the Good News of Jesus in places like China, the Middle East, and across the world. twr.org
