PCC’s Advent Prayer Experience on Wednesday, December 7th

• Why are the Advent candles different colors, and what do those colors signify?
• What’s the significance of the candles being known as the “Prophecy” candle, the “Bethlehem” candle, the “Shepherds” candle, and the “Angels” candle?
• What do the candle themes of Hope, Love, Joy, and Peace signify?

PCC hosted an Advent Prayer Experience on Wednesday, December 7th, which offered those who came a self-guided prayer journey shaped around these colors and themes of Advent. This design of this prayer experience was to quiet and prepare your mind and spirit to truly focus on the real meaning of Christmas. There were 8 individual ‘prayer stations’ as you can see below. Special thanks to Michele Tennant and Marcia Morris for all their creative work in setting this up, and to Eunice Tompkins for the loan of her collection of angels!
